Analisa and Jim have been an incredible presence in my life ever since I first photographed their engagement session when I still lived in Ohio and they lived in Pennsylvania. It just so happened that we would be moving to the Charlotte area around the same time, so it made perfect sense that they would hire me as their wedding photographer.
What we didn’t know is that we would bond deeply over our love for travel, delicious cocktails and obsession with all things musical and dogs. Once they moved near us, we all (including Corey) have spent many a evenings together over good food (mostly cooked by Analisa) and beverages (also made by Analisa). Haha!
Their destination wedding held in Nantahala National Forest was so perfect. They were married atop Wayah Bald, overlooking a sprawling landscape of colorful mountain summits. It couldn’t have gotten more romantic if they tried!
During the ceremony, they asked their grandparents to stand with them at the front because it was their 50th anniversary. I don’t think there was a dry eye to be seen during this beautiful moment.
After the exchange of their vows, we made the trek back down the mountain to celebrate at their reception, which included lots of fun dancing, craft beer and food that I wish I could have right this second.
It was a beautiful day for two beautiful people.
