When we were in the process of moving to the Charlotte area, one of my besties from back home, Mandi Johnson (you may know her from Making Nice in the Midwest/A Beautiful Mess…she’s a big deal – hehe), posted on social media that we were indeed moving south and encouraged her local-to-Charlotte followers to connect with me.
WELL. Jess was one of the first rad humans to reach out. I’m not kidding. She started following Easterday Creative immediately and has been pretty actively connecting with us socially, which was truly very encouraging because starting over in a new city is ridiculously hard. (Both with our personal lives and business lives.) Last month I finally had the chance to meet her in person when she scheduled her and Eric’s fourth anniversary session.
They are so fun, down-to-earth, and our connection was magical. It must have been Eric’s magic beard. Or Jess’ ability to make people feel immediately comfortable. Or all of the above.
Anyway, we had a fun time capturing their unique and sweet moments at Romare Bearden Park and the surrounding side streets. It so awesome how many art installations are scattered throughout the city. I love being here more and more every day!
Thanks Jess and Eric for being straight up ballers!
